The Scarlet Garden

Dear Singampallis, Here are some reflections from my pen.

Lal Bagh!!

It is in the heart of the city, mingled
A green house amidst the concrete jungle
Tall and shady tree tops many a variety
Not nameless, but of specific identity

Big bamboo bushes, green and yellow
Tall silvery stems saying hello!
Entwined around the trunks, creeping
Are the Nagalinga flowers blooming

Singing birds touching the heart,
Running squirrels amusing a lot
A lake seen as a green carpet
with lovely lotuses on stalks erect

Black ducks swimming in a pond
To look at is a sight so fond
Here diving into the water and there coming up splashing
Playing with beaks, racing with speed

You can trek a rocky mound
to glance at the beauty around
Ah! It's a garden of botanical interest
To help one's taxonomical conquest!

Amma, chala bagundi!...

Nee muddula koduku (well yes everybody else - am self-acknowledging the commonly known fact!) ki kooda theliyakunda intha manchi poetic sense ekkada dachukunnavu?

I enjoyed reading it, particularly being an admirer of beautiful nature myself, and also having been with you there on the walk through beautiful Lal bagh... Congrats amma!
