Sometimes people whom you adore and respect very much make some off the cuff remarks nonchalantly.But they make profound impact on you.Two such persons in my life are my father and my second sis-in -law ,Gowri vadina.I tried my hand at amateurish poetry in my youth.We used to have literary discussions.
Vadina said "it is always better to read 1000 books than writing one sentence.
my father said".better seek pleasure in reading rather than pressure yourself by writing"
I don't say I have read a lot. but I did a bit.Must be it is showing now.
People in whose literary sense I have great belief like sln,sgr,srn,ssk,krups and sasi,krupa are praising my poetry.Thanks to loving father and living sis in law.

Krupakar poonam's marriage day and ratha yatra happen to fall on the same day this year. Remembering Lord Krishna I wrote this poem as a small gift to the couple.I hope Devotee sasi will be pleased.

నిశకు మధుర
ఉషకు గోకులం
సంధ్యకు బృందావనం
నడయాడిన చోటల్లా
నవ నవ నందనవనం
వందే నంద నందనం .

చిటికెన వేలిపై గోవర్ధనం
చితికిన పడగల పై కాళీయ మర్దనం
భక్త జన ఆనంద వర్ధనం
కృష్ణం వందే జనార్దనం .

నవనీతం , గోపికా వస్త్రం , పారిజాతం చౌర్యం
కుబ్జకు సౌందర్యమొసగే ఔదార్యం
చాణూరాది మల్లులతో తలపడే శౌర్యం
మేనమామను , మేనబావను చంపగల క్రౌర్యం
తులసిదళానికే తూగే సౌకుమార్యం

Child birth - A happy occasion
Baptism - A snappy function
Tottering small steps
Playing with all pets
First words become a flurry...
Family in a frenzied hurry.

Have only noodle lunch,
Go even for a google search.
Find a good school...its half a solution,
The "better half" ...extra tuition.
Thought of a corporate techno-concept school,
Lot of corporal punishment - "drool".
Got a seat,dream comes true, there -
Start of an unending nightmare.

English,hindi,mathematics,physi,chem,his,civ.....falls asleep
Wake her up she is family's blacksheep.
Homework not done..admonish the parents.
Oh dear! - 'late to bed,early to rise',
Dont fear, fate will let you surely to be wise!

Impress with good grades....Supress the unseen tears.
Where are the results?...Bear with the insults.

The boy is a champ and great..She has a lump in her throat.
He is a treat..Her heart skips a beat.
They say wow! he is very good at academics..
She fears oho! he may be better at economics.

"You will become pappy" - she says pleasantly - "I'm carrying!"
"I'm very happy" - he says - "Presently cost of schooling is worrying"........

सुंदर ख्वाबों में भूल न जानी यादों में

मीठी बातों में मधुर गीतों में चान्दिनी रातों में

अंधेरी रास्ते पर तड़प रहा हूँ तुम्हारे लिए

होली में रंगोली में

बाराती मेले में सुझाई हरियाली में

मासूम बच्चों की बदनो में सच्चे प्यारे दिलों में

सागर की गहरायी में पहाड़ की ऊंचाई में

पैगाम की मुकाम में

ढूँढ रहा हूँ तुम्हे

उषा रवि किरणों में पूज्यों की चरणों में

सच्चाई के वास्ते लड़े रणों में

जीवन वन की हर चीज में

हिरण्य हरिण के जैसा

मिलता छूटता जा रहे हो तुम

हे भगवान! मैंने माना

तुम मेरे जान पहचान के अजनबी हो

जन्म लेते ही न जानते पाया हुआ बंदगी हो

तुम्हे पाने के लिए

धन नहीं मन

तन नहीं जान

हैवान हवन नहीं जीवन कवन

चाहिए

इसीलिए मैंने इस कविता लिखा

हज़ार जन्मो में सौ साल के लिए सबक सीखा

the day before marriage day.just entered marriage hall.bride is getting ready.vidya wants new poola jada.viswam is lying on a cot.he has earphones and hearing mirchi radio.
vidya:nanna i want a poola jada.
viswam: why gada ? who wants gada? (bamboo pole).
srn : its not gada. jada.vidya wants it.
viswam : (without removing earphones)thats what iam asking.i can arrange a gada. but why gada ?
srn :please stop .its jada.
viswam : i just cant understand who is asking. who is the dommari who wants to dance with a gada on a wire. stupid thing to ask or to do.
srn : ( pulls the earphones). poola jada ,jada, jada. see this. it has come. and if i catch you with earphones during the entire marriage period ------
viswam: ok .its a poola jada. why are you angry for such a small matter.i was only trying to help by arranging a gada. (afterthought) though its a stupid thing to do.
everybody is in fits.festivity and atmosphere have fully set in.

బంధుత్వాలు లేకుండా
సంతున్న వంధ్యత్వంతో

చీడ పురుగులా
పేడ పురుగులా
తప్పులు చేస్తూ తిప్పలు పడుతూ
తప్పుకుంటూ తిరుగుతున్నా
నలుగుతున్నా విరుగుతున్నా

విచ్చుకత్తుల్లా గుచ్చుకునే చచ్చు పుచ్చు మాటలతో యుద్ధం చేస్తూ
సాహిత్య వ్యవసాయం చేసి
కవిత్వ ఫలసాయం పొందుతున్నాననుకుంటూ
ఏదో రాస్తున్నానని భ్రమిస్తున్నా
నాచుట్టూ నేనే పరిభ్రమిస్తున్నా
నా కరచాలనం నేనే చేసుకుంటున్నా
నా కరతాళాలు నేనే వాయించుకుంటున్నా

నేను రక్కసిని
పగటి దయ్యాన్ని.

ఎందుకో ఆత్మశోధన మొదలైంది
అందుకే ఆవేదన కలిగింది
నాతొ నాకే వాదన జరిగింది

బోధి కింద లేకున్నా
కళ్ళున్న కబోదిని , వినిపించే బధిరుడినని
జ్ఞానం కలిగింది మది కదిలింది

అంతర్మధనంతో అంతర్ముఖుడినై ఆలోచించా
జీవిత పరమార్ధం చరమార్ధంలో కాదు
ప్రారంభంలో ప్రారభ్ధాన్ని శాసించాలని అవగతించా

వృద్ధాశ్రమంలో తాతను పెదనాన్నా అని పలకరించా పులకరించా
శరణాలయంలో చంటిపాపను కంటి పాపలా ఆదరించా
పదకన్నా అని స్వాగతించా సాదరించా

రోగులనూ విరాగులనూ సేవాధర్మంతో
ఆహ్లాదంగా నవ్వించా బాధలు మరిపించా మురిపించా
పేదల పతితల కష్టాలకు చలించా సానుభూతి సాయం అందించా
మనశ్శాంతితో ఫలించా అనుభూతితో స్పందించా

కష్టంలో అనుబంధం
దుఖంలో ఆనందం అనుభవించా సహకరించా
చర్మ సౌందర్యం కంటే కర్మ కర్తవ్యం విలువ అని నినదించా

నేను మనీషిని
సగటు జీవిని

బోయ మానిషాద శ్లోకం నుంచి ఆదికావ్యం ఉద్భవించింది
భయ విషాద శోకం నుంచి జనిస్తే ఒక్క వాక్యం
చాలు చాలు అదే పదివేలు
రసాత్మకం వాక్యం కావ్యం!!!

Dailies!!

Windy,blustery,freezing wet
Cold and shivering at dawn
It's not morning yet
Somnolent pacing suppressing the yawn.

Peering into the misty,tarry darkness
Adjust the windcheater,pull the muffler tight
Swallowing early sunrays,cloudy sky an ogress
impatient not finding the wanted sight

Slowly they appear,slicing through the rain sheet
The aroma of fresh coffee from kitchen
Come on paper boy!Hey milkmaid find your feet!
"Very cold sir" says he ; "You're late it's not Siachen"

Fear,fury or cold gritting the teeth,she's shivering frantic
"It's not my fault,van is late" - Now i know she is apolegetic
In their face close the door with a bang apathetic
Fleeting feeling of guilty pang - sympathetic

Mix it,
Fix it,
Sip it.

Skip it.
Neigh! Silly thought,it's routine.
Sigh! I'm a human canine!

సుదూరాలకు విస్తరించిన ఎడారి పక్షిగా
సైకత శిఖరాగాధాల సాక్షిగా .

ఆరంభ శూరత్వం

I know i look very dumb
for being blind to all the happenings around,
deaf to the requests and orders of family members to contribute
posing and posting as a mute spectator,
facing all the hearty attacks
but,
offering lame excuses is inexcusable
please excuse the physically handicapped
by re-well-coming with handy clapping.

Hibernation

Became the slave of
enchanting,intoxicating temptress of all
"laziness"
Can't stave it off
and only can wonder how it engulfs you with such
"easiness"

My daughters
worthy atleast to step into my shoes
i dreamt
Exceeding expectations
they have grown,too big for my shoes
i learnt

ప్రమధ గణానికి సంగీత పారవశ్యం ;
శశిధరుడి వామభాగాన మధురిమ తోడు ఐతే
ప్రధమ తరానికి ఆనంద పారవశ్యం ,యువ తరానికి సంతోషం అవశ్యం .
